Hendrick Motorsports will take care of $185,000 in fines that its crew members were ordered to pay by NASCAR as punishment for a post-race fight at Texas Motor Speedway.

The crew chiefs for Jeff Gordon’s and Kasey Kahne’s teams were fined as a result of a skirmish breaking out after Sunday’s Sprint Cup race, and four Hendrick crew members were fined and suspended.

“We will, as a team, incur that and won’t put that on the crew members,” Hendrick Motorsports general manager Doug Duchardt said Wednesday on Sirius XM.

Kahne crew member Jeremy Fuller and Gordon crew members Dwayne Doucette and Jason Ingle were $25,000 each and suspended for six races. Dean Mozingo, who is part of Gordon’s crew, was fined $10,000 and suspended three races.

Crew chiefs Alan Gustafson and Kenny Francis were fined $50,000 each.

Duchardt said driver Kevin Harvick precipitated the fight when he shoved Keselowski from behind while he was talking with Gordon.

“That whole situation was going to be a discussion and we were getting ready … to disperse, and then Kevin pushed Brad in and it all got started,” Duchardt said. “I felt like our guys were conducting themselves and everyone was letting Jeff and Brad talk, and then it escalated.”

None of the drivers involved were fined or punished for the incident.
