Lewis Takes Over LPGA Top Spot

North Texas LPGA Shootout winner Stacy Lewis officially took over as the No. 1 player in the world on Monday after winning the ShopRite LPGA Classic over the weekend in Galloway Township, N.J.

Lewis moved up from second in the Rolex Rankings to dethrone longtime top-ranked player Inbee Park, who fell to No. 2.

Lydia Ko and Suzann Pettersen held on to their spots at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively, in the rankings.

No. 5 Karrie Webb and No. 6 Lexi Thompson switched places for the second straight week.

The rest of the top 10 stayed the same with Shanshan Feng, So Yeon Ryu, Anna Nordqvist and Michelle Wie holding on to their spots.
