AUSTIN, Texas – Tournament officials announced today that Play Yellow, a national fundraising program of Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), has been designated as the primary charitable beneficiary of the 2026 Good Good Championship.
The inaugural playing of the PGA TOUR event will focus on building a legacy of giving via the tournament in Travis County and the surrounding greater Austin community. Through the partnership, significant support will be provided to pediatric cancer initiatives within the Blood and Cancer Center at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, one of the 170 local children’s hospitals CMN supports.
The Good Good Championship will take place the week of November 9-15, 2026, at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa’s Fazio Canyons Course in Austin, Texas.
“As a Texas-based company, we are committed to making a positive impact in our home state,” said Matt Kendrick, founder and CEO of Good Good Golf. “The work being done by our longtime partner, Play Yellow, and Dell Children’s Medical Center will leave an indelible mark on the community for years to come. The ethos of the Good Good Championship is not only to bring professional golf back to Austin but also to forge relationships with organizations that will benefit from the tournament. Knowing that children’s healthcare is at the core of that mission is not only rewarding, it makes us incredibly proud.”
Play Yellow was launched in 2019 by CMN in partnership with Jack and Barbara Nicklaus and the PGA TOUR. The program rallies the passion of golfers, fans and partners around one shared purpose: raising crucial funds to support life-changing care, cutting-edge research, pediatric equipment and more at local children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada.
Play Yellow’s origin began with Craig Smith, a young family friend of Jack and Barbara Nicklaus, who was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in 1968. Jack wore his signature lucky yellow shirt to honor Craig, and it became a symbol that would inspire the Nicklaus family’s legacy of supporting children’s healthcare and the national Play Yellow movement we know today.
To date, the Play Yellow program has helped raise more than $160 million through the game of golf for local CMN hospitals.
“The PGA TOUR has a longstanding tradition of making a meaningful impact and we are proud to partner with Good Good Golf in support of children and their families,” said Aimee Daily, Ph.D., president and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network. “Seeing the golf community turn their passion for the game into a force for good reminds us that our supporters are the true power behind our mission. This collaboration provides critical funding to Children’s Miracle Network and to help advance pediatric care at Dell Children’s Medical Center as we unite and make big change for all kids.”
Dell Children’s Medical Center serves as the premier provider for children and adolescents across a 46-county service area, operating the only dedicated freestanding pediatric Level I trauma center in Central Texas. Comprehensive specialty services ensure local families access lifesaving and complex care locally. Backed by community support and strategic investments in talent, facilities and technology, the center continues to expand capabilities to provide exceptional care.
