Mansfield Tops Marcus

The Mansfield Tigers defeated the Marcus Marauders 29-16 Friday night at Marcus.

Mansfield running back Emmanuel Esukpa led the Tigers with 269 yards and 3 touchdowns, including one of 90 yards, which put the game out of reach in the final minutes.

Julius Lewis scored on a 95-yard kick return for the Tigers’ other touchdown.

Marcus struggled on offense in the first half, taking a 9-0 deficit into the locker room.  Seven players combined to give Marcus 158 yards rushing on 35 attempts.  The air attack was led by quarterback Andrew Parish, who completed 6 of 9 attempts for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns.
