Mavericks dominate Golden State

It was rookie night during the Dallas Mavericks 111-90 win over the Golden State Warriors.  Rookie Rodrigue Beaubois scored a career-high 40 points to lead the Mavericks.  “I felt great,” Beaubois said. “I felt I couldn’t miss so I kept shooting.”

Dallas superstar Dirk Nowitzki, who played a supporting role, scoring 13, heaped praise on his young teammate, “We see it a lot in practice.  He’s a very, very explosive scorer. He’s long. When he makes his shots, he’s tough to guard because he’s so good at penetrating. He’s got a great floater, he can finish in the paint. When he’s on like that, he’s a tough matchup for anyone.”

Golden State fell apart in the 2nd quarter, missing 10 of their first 11 shots and allowing Dallas to take over the game with a 22-2 run.

The Mavericks are tied for 2nd in the Western Conference.
