Midland Shuts Out Frisco

FRISCO, TEXAS – The Frisco RoughRiders got shut out by the Midland RockHounds 1-0 Tuesday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark. The ‘Riders dropped the last two straight games.

After three scoreless innings, Conner Crumbliss got hit by the pitch to lead off the fourth. Dusty Coleman then doubled to the right corner, putting the RockHounds (14-17, 47-54) up 1-0.

After the fourth, the RoughRiders (13-19, 52-50) Richard Bleier, Randy Henry and Jimmy Reyes combined to allow one hit and struck out three.

Frisco was unable to get things going offensively against the power pitching of Zach Neal (7-8), who pitched all nine innings and allowed two hits with three strikeouts to earn the victory. Tyler Tufts (3-3) gave up one run on four hits and struck out four to suffer the defeat.

The ‘Riders conclude their series against the Midland RockHounds at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday at Dr Pepper Ballpark. Neil Ramirez (9-3, 3.68 ERA) will make the start for the RoughRiders against lefty Carlos Hernandez (5-7, 2.62 ERA) for the ‘Hounds.
