Nowitzki named Western Conference Player of the Week

The NBA announced Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks as the Western Conference Player of the Week for games played March 1-7.  Nowitzki was in the league’s top-10 in scoring, rebounds, and blocks.  Dallas went 4-0 for the period and is on an 11 game winning streak.
