Stars Defeat Blue Jackets 4-2

The Dallas Stars defeated the Blue Jackets 4-2 Thursday night in Columbus.

Jamie Benn scored for Dallas just over a minute into the game.  His goal was soon followed by a tip-in from Alex Goligoski to give the Stars a 2-0 opening period lead.

Dallas’ lead would extend to 3-0 early in the 2nd period with a goal by Stephane Robidas, assisted by Mike Ribeiro and Goligoski.

Columbus would get a pair of power play goals to close the gap before Dallas would seal the win with an empty net goal by Benn.

Goaltender Kari Lehtonen stopped 26 of 28 shots in the win.

It is the Stars fourth win in the last six games.  Dallas will stay on the road to play Buffalo on Friday night.
