Stars Get The Blues In St. Louis

The Dallas Stars’ rally came up short in St Louis, losing to the Blues 5-3 on Monday night.

The Stars found themselves down 4-1 in the third period, their lone goal coming from Mike Ribeiro, assisted by Alex Goligoski and Steve Ott.  Midway through the period, Dallas gets goals from Eric Nystrom and Michael Ryder to close the gap to one at 4-3.  The Blues put the game away with an empty net goal in the final minute of play.

Richard Bachman started the game as goalie for the Stars and saved 22 of 25 shots before giving way to Andrew Raycroft in the third period who saved 11 of 12 but was credited with the loss.

The Stars remain tied with San Jose for first place in the Pacific Division.

Dallas gets a couple of days off before returning home to play Columbus on Thursday night at the American Airlines Center.
