Stars lose 2-1 to Columbus

The Dallas Stars lost at home to the streaking Columbus Blue Jackets 2-1 on Sunday night.  It is the Stars’ sixth loss in the last 9 games.

Brad Richards scored the only goal for Dallas, his 24th goal of the season.  Richards has points in 11 of his last 14 games (seven goals, nine assists).  He has goals in three-straight games and in six of his last nine overall. Ten of Richards’ 24 goals this season have come against teams from the Central Division, including four goals against the Blue Jackets.

Trevor Daley added his 16th assist of the season and points in eight of his last 19 games (three goals, seven assists).

Steve Ott dished out his 12th assist of the season and is one assist away from 100 career NHL assists.

Goaltender Kari Lehtonon stopped 37-of-39 shots – the 12th time this season he has stopped more than 35 shots.

The Stars head to Canada on a three-game road trip following practice on Monday and faces the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. CST on FOX Sports Southwest.
