Stars Lose At Ducks

The Dallas Stars lost to the Ducks in Anaheim 5-2 on Tuesday night.  The Ducks carried a 2-0 lead into the third period before Dallas attempted a rally.  

Steve Ott would score a minute and 39 seconds into the final period to get the Stars on the board, followed a minute later by a game-tying goal from Alex Goligoski.  

From the 2-2 tie, it was all Anaheim, as they added 3 more goals to get the win.

Ott’s goal was his 7th of the year.  He was assisted by Michael Ryder and Nicklas Grossman.  Ott also was credited with an assist on Goligoski’s goal, along with Jamie Benn.

Goaltender Kari Lehtonen saved 21 of 25 shots.

The Stars continue their west coast swing, playing Los Angeles on Thursday night.  Dallas is 2 games behind Los Angeles for 2nd in the Pacific Division.
