The Dallas Stars gave up 3 power-play goals in a 5-4 loss to the Calgary Flames on Monday night.

Wingman Jamie Benn scored 2 goals for the Stars in the first 21 minutes of play, but Dallas could not keep all players on the ice long enough to capitalize.  After Mike Ribeiro’s wrist shot tied the game at 3 in the second period, Calgary scored 2 power-play goals in 2 1/2 minutes.

The Stars got a 3rd period power-play goal of their own from Philip Larsen, but could not find the net again.

Goaltender Kari Lehtonen had one of his most difficult outings of the year, allowing 5 goals on 35 shots.

The Stars are currently in 2nd place in the Pacific division and holding on to the 7th playoff spot in the West.  Dallas will stay in Canada to face Edmonton on Wednesday.
