Stars Lose To Devils 6-3

The Dallas Stars ended their 5-game road trip with a 6-3 loss to the New Jersey Devils.  Dallas finished the road stretch with a 3-2 record.

The Stars’ rookie goaltender Richard Bachman suffered his first career loss, giving up 6 goals on 31 shots.

Dallas scored first on a goal by Michael Ryder, assisted by Loui Eriksson and Jamie Benn.  After the Devils tied the game to end the 1st period, The Stars took the lead again early in the 2nd period with a slap shot from Brenden Morrow and assist by Mike Ribeiro and Steve Ott.  New Jersey came roaring back, scoring the next 4 goals.  Dallas would close the score with a goal by Toby Peterson, with assists by Sheldon Souray and Jake Dowell.  New Jersey would seal the game with a final goal late in the 3rd.

The Stars return home on Monday to face Anaheim at the American Airlines Center.
