Stars lose to Kings

Dallas’ eight-game points streak in the standings came to an end Sunday afternoon with a 3-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings (6-0-2 record entering the game). Prior to today’s contest, the Stars had not dropped a game in regulation since Feb. 22 vs. New Jersey (1-0 L). It is also the first time the Stars have not been able to register at least three goals in a game since that game against the Devils (3.4 GF/G in eight games coming into today’s contest).

Brad Richards scored his 25th goal of the season and his first since Feb. 13 against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Jamie Langenbrunner’s goal gives him points in each of the last two games (1 goal, 2 assists), and points in three of the last four contests (1g, 3a).

Jamie Benn extended his point-streak to seven games with an assist (6 goals, 2 assists).

Loui Eriksson has points in two consecutive games (two assists), and in seven of his last nine games overall (4 goals, 4 assists).

Alex Goligski’s assist gives him assists in three of the last four games (4 assists).

Dallas will host the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night at American Airlines Center (7:30 pm).
