Stars lose to Nashville

The Nashville Predators won their sixth straight game Saturday night with a 4-2 victory over the Dallas Stars.  The Stars fall to 2 points behind Chicago for the 8th playoff spot.  It is the first road loss in regulation for the Stars in their last 5 road games.

Alex Goligoski opened the scoring for Dallas with a power-play goal on an assist by Loui Eriksson.  It is the 3rd consecutive game in which Goligoski has scored a goal.  Also scoring for Dallas was Brenden Morrow, his 28th of the season.

Mike Ribeiro made his 50th assist on the year.

Dallas coach Marc Crawford refused to be down on his team.  “I thought we made some great plays at the end,” Crawford said. “Nashville made a couple of good blocks. It was a one goal game and that is exactly what we thought it was going to be. We just ended up on the wrong side of it.”

Dallas plays at Phoenix on Tuesday.
