The Dallas Stars lost at home to the Phoenix Coyotes Tuesday night, 4-1.  It is the first loss to Phoenix at home for Dallas in regulation since December 26, 2010 (0-1 L).

Tuesday’s game marks the first time Dallas has allowed Phoenix to score four or more goals since December 11, 2010 (2-5 L). It is also the first time either team has scored more than three goals since that date.  The Coyotes improved to 3-0-1 in their last four trips to Dallas.

The lone Dallas goal came on a wrist shot by Michael Ryder in the 2nd period, assisted by Philip Larsen.  Ryder’s second period goal extended his team lead in goals to 19. Philip Larsen’s assist gives him points in four of his last six games (1g, 3a, 4pts.).

Alex Goligoski attempted a season-high six shots against the Phoenix Coyotes tonight. It’s the most shots he’s had in a single game since March 29, 2011 when he registered a career-high nine shots (@ PHX).

Kari Lehtonen allowed four goals on 24 shots.  Lehtonen’s record against the Phoenix Coyotes fell to 4-2-3. This was his first loss in regulation to Phoenix since December 26, 2010 (0-1 L).

The Stars went 0/4 on the power play, and have gone 3/11 in the last four games (27%).

Dallas will travel to Columbus tomorrow afternoon to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night (6 pm CT, Fox Sports Southwest, Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket).
