The Dallas Stars lost to the San Jose Sharks 5-2 Thursday night in San Jose.  It is the second straight loss for Dallas, who opened a 5-game road trip.

Andrew Raycroft started again as goalie for the Stars in place of the injured Kari Lehtonen.  Raycroft gave up 5 goals on 24 shots.  He was replaced for the 3rd period by Richard Bachman, who allowed no goals on 12 shots.

The Sharks jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the opening period, but Dallas was able to fight back to tie the game at 2-2 midway through the 2nd.  Once the game was tied, San Jose came to life and closed out the 2nd period with 3 straight goals for the win.

Brenden Morrow returned to the Stars lineup from injured reserve to score a goal and an assist.  Mike Ribeiro scored his 3rd goal of the season and also was credited with an assist.

The Stars continue their road trip Saturday in Los Angeles.
