The Dallas Stars defeated the Edmonton Oilers 4-1 on Saturday at the American Airlines Center.  The Stars have won two games in a row and are 3-1-0 in their last four games.

Mike Ribeiro became the fifth Dallas Star to reach double-figures in goals this season with 10 (others are Loui Eriksson, Eric Nystrom, Jamie Benn and Michael Ryder). Ribeiro scored two goals for the second consecutive game.

Jamie Benn scored two goals, giving him a four-game point streak (4g, 5a), with multiple-point efforts in each of the four games. He also has points in 10 of the last 11 games (6g, 11a).

Loui Eriksson tied a career-high with three assists (done twice before in his career), giving him a four-game point streak (2g, 6a). He also has points in nine of the last 11 games (4g, 12a). Dallas is 7-0-0 all-time vs. Edmonton when Eriksson earns an assist.

Richard Bachman stopped 25-of-26 Oiler shots in earning his sixth win in nine starts this season. He improved his goals-against-average (GAA) to 2.56 and his save percentage to .917 (6-2-0 record).

The Stars have not allowed a power-play goal over the last five games, going 10-for-10 on the penalty kill in that span.

Dallas plays at Anaheim on Tuesday and at LA on Thursday. The next Stars home game is Saturday, Jan. 14, at 2 pm vs. Colorado.
