Stars win 4-2

The Dallas Stars set a team record with their 8th straight road win Thursday night with a 4-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.  Dallas has not lost on the road in 2011.  It is the Stars’ 5th straight win overall.

Kari Lehtonen made 30 saves in the game, 14 in the first period and 12 in the 2nd.  Lehtonen finally got some defensive help in the final period as the Oilers could only produce 4 shots on goal.

The Stars opened the scoring with a Jamie Benn’s 13th goal on the season.  Edmonton would tie the game at 1 soon after.

Dallas would take the lead for good with a goal by Mike Ribeiro, followed with scores from James Neal and Adam Burish.

The Stars continue their road trip today at Calgary.
