Stars win final home game of season

With the 4-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night, the Stars finished the 2010-11 season with a 22-11-8 record at home. The Stars have earned at least 20 home wins in each of their last eight seasons. Dallas has not lost a home finale since 1997 (vs. CHI, 5-2 L), accruing a 12-0-1 record since then.

The Stars are now on their seventh winning streak of three games or more for the season. In their previous two seasons combined, the Stars only managed to have one winning streak of three games or more (2008-09, five-game win streak).

The Stars currently sit two points out of a playoff spot with two games to play, and can still pass up to four different clubs and make the playoffs (Chicago, Anaheim, Phoenix or Nashville)

Tom Wandell planted his seventh goal of the season and his 13th of his career. Dallas has an 11-0-1 record over the past three seasons when he registers a goal.

Loui Eriksson scored on a slap shot for his 26th goal of the season.

Brenden Morrow netted his 31st goal of the season and is one goal away from tying his career high for a season (32, set during 2007-08 season).

Brad Richards scored his 27th goal of the season to seal the game in the 3rd period.

Kari Lehtonen has started in 21 consecutive games and is just one appearance away from tying a career-high for most games played in a season (played 68 games in 2006-07). In his last eight home games, Lehtonen has a 4-2-2 record with a .927 SV% and 1.86 GAA
