Super Bowl Set For Rematch

In a rematch of Super Bowl XVII, the New York Giants will face the New England Patriots on February 5 in Indianapolis.

The Giants won on the road in San Francisco by a score of 20-17 in overtime.  New York is peaking at the right time, much as they did back in 2007 when they upset the 18-0 Patriots in the Super Bowl.  Quarterback Eli Manning will be looking for his 2nd Super Bowl ring in the home stadium of his brother, Peyton.

New England advanced to the big game with a tight 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens.  The Patriots were helped by a missed 32-yard field goal from ex-Cowboy Billy Cundiff that would have sent the game into overtime.

The Patriots will be looking for revenge for the embarrassment of 4 years ago when they were playing not only for the championship, but also for an undefeated season.

New England opens as a 3 1/2 point favorite in the game.
