FORT WORTH – TCU soccer sophomore Vittoria Arnold has been named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week. She helped lead the Horned Frogs to a pair of 1-0 victories this past weekend. The honor is the second of the season for TCU.

Arnold posted two shutouts on the week and has three straight shutouts over the last two weekends. She combined to make seven saves in the two matches where a total of 20 shots were directed on goal. The sophomore has not allowed a goal in her last 293:50 in net.

She helped the Frogs hand North Texas its first home defeat since 2010. Both of her saves came in the second half when the Mean Green were pushing to tie the game. Arnold also made five saves in a 1-0 win over Houston Baptist on Friday.

Makenzie Koch was honored last week as the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.
