TCU Downs Virginia

The TCU Horned Frogs moved to 3-0 with a 27-7 victory over Virginia at Amon G. Carter Stadium.  The Horned Frogs have won 11 straight games, the longes winning streak in the nation.

Receiver Josh Boyce caught his 18th career touchdown pass, to move to number 1 in school history.  Boyce had 4 catches for 22 yards.

TCU quarterback Casey Pachall completed 21 of 32 passes for 305 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Pachall was not sacked in the game, and has been sacked just once through 3 games this year.

Pachall’s leading receiver was Brandon Carter, who caught 5 passes for 128 yards and a touchdown.  

Matthew Tucker was the leading rusher for the Frogs, gaining 57 yards on 15 carries.

The TCU defense gave up it’s first touchdown of the season, a streak that extended back to the 2011 Poinsettia Bowl.

The Horned Frogs will try to avenge their only loss in the last 29 games on Saturday when they head to cross-town rival SMU.
