The Dallas Tennis Classic, a new stop on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Tour played at the prestigious Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas, today announced the acceptance list (current entries) for the tournament, which includes former No. 4 ranked James Blake and 21 other players ranked in the top 100 on the ATP Tour. Other notable players coming to Dallas for the inaugural event include No. 19 ranked Florian Mayer, winner of last years BMW Tennis Championship, No. 21 Marin Cilic and No. 33 Alex Bogomolov, Jr.

“We are extremely pleased to have 21 players ranked in the top 100 including James Blake for our first-year event,” said Zoltan Papp, Dallas Tennis Classic tournament director. “We are also currently in discussions with other players such as Tommy Haas, David Nalbandian, LLeyton Hewitt and Marcos Baghdatis for our wildcard spots.”

The Dallas Tennis Classic is a Challenger Level Tour event with Prize Money of $125,000. The event will feature 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw beginning in 2012. Unlike other Challenger events, top 50 ranked players can play in the Dallas Tennis Classic, without obtaining a wildcard, as they prepare for the Sony Ericsson.

The event, which has traditionally been played at a Florida venue, was moved to Dallas after the tournament became available from the ATP.

The inaugural event will begin March 12 and run through March 18, Tickets are being sold through the tournament website at DallasTennisClassic.com.
