Kip Adams Named New Tournament Champion for Charles Schwab Challenge
|Fort Worth, Texas – Charles Schwab Challenge tournament officials announced today that Kip Adams is assuming the role of Tournament Chairman for the 2025-26 Charles Schwab Challenge tournaments.
Adams succeeds Jim Whitten who served as Tournament Chairman from 2021-24.
Adams has been a Colonial Country Club member since 2009. He was Colonial’s Club President from 2018-2020 and was on Colonial’s Board of Governors for six years. His club leadership involvement has also included serving on four additional committees.
He was appointed to the Tournament Committee in 2014 as the inaugural Chairman of the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational, then Adams later served on the Tournament Executive Committee as Vice-Chairman of Operations.
Prior to becoming Tournament Chairman, Adams’ role at the tournament was overseeing sales and sponsors as an Executive Committee member.

I am honored and privileged to serve as Chairman of the Charles Schwab Challenge. Our tournament is the longest running PGA Tour event at the same venue, and we have hosted major championships and the best players in the world for generations. We are proud of the charitable and economic impact we generate each year and I am excited to be part of continuing that tradition,” commented Adams.
In his professional occupation, Kip is Senior Vice President and Practice Leader for the Retirement and Private
Wealth division of HUB International-Fort Worth. He was formerly a Certified Public Accountant working 10
years in public accounting. Adams serves on the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries of North Central
Texas, having previously served as Chairman of the Board.
A native Texan and graduate of The University of Texas, Adams and his wife of 28 years, Amy, have twin
daughters, Abby and Kate, who have just graduated high school and will be attending Auburn University and
The University of Texas respectively this fall.
