The NFL announced the 2026 regular season schedule on Thursday, and at least seven national television
appearances highlight the Dallas Cowboys upcoming regular season.
The Cowboys schedule currently features six games slated for national prime-time broadcasts, including a three-game stretch and two contests from AT&T Stadium.
Dallas will play eight games against seven playoff teams from 2025 – Green Bay, Houston, Jacksonville, Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia (two), San Francisco and Seattle.
In addition to the two prime-time games at AT&T Stadium – one on Prime Video and one on NBC – and the club’s annual Thanksgiving Day national appearance (this year on FOX), the Cowboys will make four national prime-time road appearances, including two on ESPN and two on NBC.
The Cowboys will play two Monday Night Football games -marking the 28th time (third consecutive) Dallas will have multiple regular-season MNF games.
Dallas will make its 91st Monday night appearance, which would tie Miami for the most in NFL history (pending Miami’s MNF schedule).
Only the Pittsburgh Steelers (55) and San Francisco 49ers (55) have won more MNF games than Dallas’ 51.
The NFL enters its sixth season with a 17-game schedule, and this year Dallas hosts the AFC North’s 2025 same-place finisher, Baltimore, during Week 3 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The game will mark the NFL’s first in Rio and the Cowboys second international regular-season game (2014 vs. Jacksonville in London).
In facing the N.Y. Giants to open 2026, Dallas will begin the season on the road for the fourth consecutive year. The last time Dallas had a streak of at least four road games to open seasons was from 2008-12 (five straight).
The only other such streak was from 1993-97 (five).
Over the last 17 seasons, Dallas has opened on NBC – either in the Kickoff Game or on Sunday Night Football – 12 times, including this year’s opener.
The Cowboys season opener in New York on Sunday night (Sept. 13) marks the third time in four years Dallas will open against a division opponent.
It also marks the 13th time the Cowboys open a season against the N.Y. Giants, with Dallas winning 11 of the previous 12 meetings.
The Cowboys then begin their home slate in Week 2, hosting the Washington Commanders on Sept. 20.
This season marks the second straight – fifth since 2000 – that Dallas opens the season with back-to-back division contests.
Week 3 features the Cowboys hosting Baltimore in Rio on Sept. 27. Dallas returns stateside and travels to Houston on Oct. 4 before a three-game prime-time stretch: at home against Tampa Bay on Thurs., Oct. 8 (Prime Video), followed by road bouts at Green Bay (SNF, Oct. 18) and at Philadelphia (MNF, Oct. 26).
November is ushered in with consecutive noon games – first on Nov. 1 against Arizona, followed by the game at Indianapolis on Nov. 8.
The Cowboys then have three consecutive home games – against San Francisco (Nov. 15), Tennessee (Nov. 22) and Philadelphia on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 26).
It will mark the third time Dallas has hosted the Eagles on Thanksgiving.
Coming out of Thanksgiving, Dallas heads to Seattle for a Monday night contest on Dec. 7 before enjoying a Week 14 bye – the latest bye week for the Cowboys since 1990 (also Week 14) – the first year bye weeks were introduced.
December continues with a road game at the LA Rams on Dec. 20, followed by a Sunday night matchup against
Jacksonville at AT&T Stadium on Dec. 27.
The Cowboys then close out their regular season home schedule against the N.Y. Giants on Jan. 3 before finishing the regular season on the road at Washington – the fourth time in the last five years (third time on the road) Dallas ends the regular season against the Commanders.
