Dallas Mavericks fall to Oklahoma City 121-116

The Dallas Mavericks lost their second consecutive game last night with a 121-116 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.  The Mavericks had their best 1st period of the season, scoring 37 points.  Unfortunately for the Mavs, the Thunder dominated the 2nd quarter.  Building a lead they would never surrender, eventually leading by as much as 19.  Dallas was able to get within 4 before the Thunder put the game away.

Dirk Nowitzki had another 30-point game, his 18th of the year, including all 10 free throws.  Nowitzki leads the NBA in games with 100% free throw shooting (10 shots or more).  Jason Kidd scored 24.

This was the first time Oklahoma City has won in Dallas since 2004, the win clinched a playoff berth for the Thunder.
