Dallas Mavericks Make 7-Player Trade

The Dallas Mavericks announced a trade with the Washington Wizards involving 7 players and an undisclosed amount of cash.  Gone from the Mavs are Josh Howard, Drew Gooden, James Singleton, and Quinton Ross.   Dallas gains Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood, DeShawn Stevenson and the money.

Howard had been with Dallas since they drafted him in 2003.  He was the longest tenured Maverick, behind Dirk Nowitzki.

Butler was an NBA All-Star in 2007 and 2008 for the Wizards.  He also played for the L.A. Lakers and the Miami Heat, who drafted him in 2002.
