FM Marcus Rolls Over Waxahachie

The Flower Mound Marcus football team opened the season with a romp over the Waxahachie Indians.  The Marauders racked up 347 yards rushing in the 51-21 victory.

Harvey Giddens ran for 173 yards and 4 touchdowns on 23 carries as the Marcus offense controlled the game.  Jeff Smiley added 2 carries for 114 yards, including a 72 yard touchdown.

Quarterback Cole Erwin was 7 of 10 for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Cody Apfel made 3 catches for 108 yards and a touchdown.  The other TD catch was by Deion Sanders Jr. for 8 yards.

Waxahachie quarterback Don King III threw for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns but went out with an injury in the 4th quarter.  Terrance Hawkins caught 7 for 130 yards and both TDs.   Robert Lowe Jr. led the Indians ground attack with 84 yards on 11 carries.
