The New York Giants came into Cowboys Stadium with a swagger and left with a sigh of relief after a 29-24 win over the Cowboys.  The Giants won in the billion dollar home of the Cowboys for the 4th year in a row, with no losses.

New York jumped out to a 23-0 lead early in the game after intercepting Dallas quarterback Tony Romo 3 times and recovering a Dez Bryant fumbled punt return.  The Cowboys were fortunate to hold the Giants to field goals on 3 of those possessions.

Dallas made a frenzied comeback on the Giants, scoring 24 unanswered points to take a 24-23 lead by the end of the 3rd quarter.  The Giants regained the lead after a 60 yard drive to start the 4th quarter which resulted in a 43 yard field goal.

After another fumble, this time by Cowboys running back Felix Jones, the Giants would score again with a 37 yard field goal for a 29-24 lead.

The Cowboys mount another drive only to turn the ball over with Romo’s 4th interception of the game.  After a defensive stand, Dallas gets the ball back with just under a minute remaining for one last drive.  A Tony Romo pass to Bryant deep in the end zone is signaled a touchdown, but replay review showed Bryant’s fingers were out of bounds.  The game ends on a Romo pass sailing out of the end zone.

Jason Witten caught an NFL tight-end record 18 passes for 167 yards in the game.  The Cowboys had 3 receivers over 100 yards in the game, Witten, Miles Austin with 9 catches for 133 yards, and Bryant, 5 catches for 110 yards.

Tony Romo was 36 of 62 for 437 yards with 1 touchdown and 4 interceptions.

The Cowboys gained only 19 rushing yards, all by Felix Jones on 13 carries.

The Cowboys defense held the Giants to just 293 total yards, partly because they gave the ball to New York on the short end of the field.  New York quarterback Eli Manning was 15 of 29 for 192 yards.  He was intercepted once.

The Giants gained 103 yards on the ground, most from Ahmad Bradshaw with 78.

New York (6-2) has a firm grip on the NFC East at the midway point of the season.  The Cowboys (3-4) go on the road next week to face the undefeated Atlanta Falcons.
