Mavericks 115 – Suns 90

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Phoenix Suns 115-90 before a packed house at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.  With the win, Dallas swept the four-game season series with Phoenix. The Mavericks have now won five straight against the Suns, including 10 of the last 12 meetings. It marks the first time Dallas has won five in row against Phoenix since 1987-1988 (12/11/87-4/6/88).

Five players scored 15-plus points (and four had at least 17 points) for the Mavericks in the win.

Jason Terry recorded his 1,000th 3-pointer as a Maverick with just under 4 minutes gone by in the fourth quarter. He finished 3-of-7 of from beyond the arc on the night en route to 17 points off the bench.

Shawn Marion notched his third straight double-double (12th of the season) with 18 points and 11 rebounds.  Six of his 12 double-doubles have come since March 1. He’s averaging 18.4 points and 8.8 rebounds over the last five games.

Brendan Haywood pulled down 11 rebounds to go with five points. He’s grabbed 10-plus rebounds in three of his last four games (11.0 rpg over the last four games).

Dallas improved to 30 games above .500 (55-25) with the win. They remain in third place in the West with two games remaining in the regular season. They will play at Houston on April 11 and conclude the regular season at home against New Orleans on April 13.
