Mavericks Top Bucks 102-76

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 102-76 Friday night at the American Airlines Center.  It is the Mavericks 4th straight win.

Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki scored his 23,000th career point on the first of two free throw attempts at the 7:17 mark of the second quarter. Nowitzki became the third active player (also Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett) and the 23rd player in NBA history with 23,000 career points. He recorded 11 points and five boards against Milwaukee on Friday. Elgin Baylor (23,149) currently sits in 22nd place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list ahead of Nowitzki, who now has 23,008 career points.

Rodrigue Beaubois went 7-of-12 from the field and finished with a season-high 15 points (was 11 vs. New Orleans 1/7/12) and six rebounds vs. Milwaukee.  Vince Carter made his first five shots of the game and scored 11 of Dallas’ first 18 points. He matched his season-high in the first half (was 14 vs. Oklahoma City 1/14/12) and finished with 16 points on the night.

The Mavericks held Milwaukee to an opponent low 76 points on Friday (was 81 vs. New Orleans 1/7/12). The Mavericks improved to 7-0 this season when they hold the opposition to under 90 points.
