Mavs Beat Bobcats 101-96

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Charlotte Bobcats 101-96 Thursday night at the American Airlines Center.   Dallas has never lost to Charlotte (15 games).  The Mavericks are the only NBA team the Bobcats have never beaten.

Dirk Nowitzki scored 27 points to lead all scorers.  Nowitzki also led the team with 5 assists.  Jason Terry scored 18 and Roddy Beaubois added 14 points.  Vince Carter was the only other Maverick in double figures with 11.  “Our goal is to make a push here in the last 21 games and get into the playoffs. We just need to go from there and get better so we can make a run in the playoffs,” said Nowitzki.

 

Brendan Haywood grabbed 8 rebounds for the Mavs, despite leaving the game in the 3rd quarter with a knee injury.

Dallas hosts San Antonio on Saturday, beginning a 12 game stretch against teams with winning records.
