The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Sacramento Kings 110-100 Tuesday night at the American Airlines Center. It is their 16th consecutive victory against the Kings at home. The Kings have not defeated the Mavericks in Dallas since 2/27/03 (when Sacramento recorded a 126-124 win in overtime). Dallas also took the season series with Sacramento 2-1.  With the win, the Mavericks improved to 17-1 on the year when they score at least 100 points in a game, including 4-0 when they score 110-plus points.

Mavericks forward Shawn Marion posted his second straight double-double and 10th of the season with 10 points and a team-high 14 rebounds (had 12 points and 11 rebounds at Memphis 4/7). He has now grabbed nine-plus rebounds in seven of his last nine games.

Mavericks point guard Jason Kidd returned to the starting lineup against the Kings on Tuesday after missing the previous four games due to a strained right groin. He managed seven points, six rebounds, a game-high seven assists, two blocks and one steal in 22 minutes.

Marion (10), Dirk Nowitzki (15), Brendan Haywood (11) and Delonte West (13) all scored in double figures in the start for Dallas. Rodrigue Beaubois (15) and Jason Terry (13) all scored in double digits off the Mavericks’ bench. Kidd (seven points) was the only Maverick starter who did not reach double digits in scoring. Dallas improved to 5-2 on the season when it has six-plus players in double figures.

The Mavericks’ bench outscored the Kings’ bench 54-23 on the night.

Dallas outrebounded the Kings 56-40 for the game.

The attendance for tonight’s game was 20,241. The Mavs have now sold out 430 consecutive regular-season games at American Airlines Center, which is an NBA-best sellout streak. The streak began on Dec. 15, 2001 and Dallas has sold out an additional 58 playoff games during that stretch.

The Mavericks’ next game is at Golden State on April 12 at 9:30 p.m. CT.
