Mavs End Season With Win

The Dallas Mavericks ended their season with a 99-87 victory over the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday night at the American Airlines Center.

With the win, the Mavericks finish the season with a 41-41 record.

Darren Collison came off the bench to lead all scorers with 25 points.  Dirk Nowitzki added 16 and 9 rebounds.  Shawn Marion was the only other Dallas player in double figures with 15 points.

All five starters for New Orleans scored in double figures.

The game was the 473rd regular season sellout at the AAC, the longest streak in the NBA.   Nowitzki greeted the crowd before the game and expressed his appreciation, “Thanks for the all support throughout the whole year. We hope to see you next year,”
