{fshare id=2063}

The Dallas Mavericks were never in the game Thursday night in San Antonio.  The Mavs only shot 36.8% in the first period and less than 30% in each period after.  Dallas was even worse from the 3-point line, hitting just 1 of 19 in the 93-71 drubbing by the Spurs.  The Mavericks never led or tied since the opening basket by the Spurs.

Jason Terry came off the bench to lead the Mavericks in scoring, with 12 points.  Terry was only 5 of 19, but did hit the only 3-pointer for the Mavs.  The only other Maverick with double figures was Delonte West, with 10 on 4 of 6 shooting.

Dirk Nowitzki was 3 of 14 for 6 points.  Jason Kidd was 0-4.

The Dallas bench outscored the starters 47-24.

The Mavericks get a day of rest before playing in New Orleans on Saturday.
