Mavs Get First Win of Season

The Dallas Mavericks won for the first time this season Friday night versus Toronto.  The Mavericks used a 16-2 run in the 3rd period to take the lead en route to the 99-86 victory.

The Mavs leading scorer, Ian Mahinmi went a perfect 6-for-6 from the field (7-of-11 from the line) en route to a career-high 19 points versus Toronto on Friday (previous high 17 at Memphis 1/15/11). He added five boards and two blocks in a career-high 29 minutes off the bench for Dallas.

The Mavericks’ bench outscored the Raptors’ bench, 56-26, in the game.

Ian Mahinmi (19), Dirk Nowitzki (18), Jason Terry (17), Shawn Marion (12) and Vince Carter (10) all scored in double figures for Dallas.

The Mavs have now sold out 402 consecutive regularseason games at American Airlines Center, which is an NBA-best sellout streak. The streak began on Dec. 15, 2001 and Dallas has sold out an additional 58 playoff games during that stretch.
