Mavs Lose At Clippers

For the 2nd game in a row, the Dallas Mavericks lost by a last-second basket.   This time it was Chauncey Billups hitting a 3-point bucket to lift the L.A, Clippers past the Mavs 91-89.  The Mavericks drop to 0-5 on the road against Western Conference opponents this season.

Dirk Nowitzki and Delonte West each scored 17 points for the Mavericks.  Shawn Marion had a double-double on the night, scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

Ian Mahinmi and Jason Terry were productive off the bench, scoring 13 and 12 points respectively.  Jason Kidd returned to the lineup for Dallas and dished out 10 assists.

The Clippers’ Mo Williams led all scorers with 26.

The Mavericks stay on the road to take on Utah tonight.
