Mavs Lose In Chicago

The Dallas Mavericks lost their 3rd game in a row Wednesday night with a 101-78 beating at the hands of the Chicago Bulls.   Injuries have decimated the Mavs, who have been without star Dirk Nowitzki all season who has been recovering from a knee injury.   Moments before the game, coach Rick Carlisle found out Darren Collison could not play due to a jammed finger suffered in the previous night’s game.  O.J. Mayo was limited with an ankle injury.  Carlisle stated after the game that the Mavericks would sign Derek Fisher on Thursday.

The Mavs shot just 34.6% from the field, while the Bulls would connect with 49.3%.

Shawn Marion led Dallas with 18 points, followed by Chris Kaman, Dominique Jones, and Vince Carter with 10 each.

The Mavericks return home on Saturday to face the Pistons at the American Airlines Center.
