Mavs lose to Portland

The Dallas Mavericks lost to the Portland Trail Blazers 97-92 on Thursday night.  The Mavericks lead is cut to 2 games to 1.

Dallas trailed by as much as 13, but cut the lead to 3 with 12 seconds to go before Andre Miller sealed the game with a pair of free throws with less than 10 seconds to go.

Jason Terry led the Mavs with 29 points.  Dirk Nowitzki scored 25 points in the loss.  Jason Kidd, who averaged 21 points in the first 2 games, was held to 8 points while committing 5 turnovers.

Dallas center Tyson Chandler fouled out in the first 15 minutes of the game.

Game 4 is Saturday in Portland.
