Mavs Win 3rd Straight

The Dallas Mavericks improved to 4-1 for the first time since 2007 with a 109-104 victory over the Toronto Raptors Wednesday night at the American Airlines Center.

O.J. Mayo and Chris Kaman each scored 22 points for the Mavericks to lead them to their 3rd straight win.

Vince Carter came off the bench to score 17 points for Dallas.  Darren Collison added 15.  Brandan Wright scored 12 points for the Mavs, his 5th straight game to score in double figures.

Dallas was again playing without some notable players.  Dirk Nowitzki is still out following knee surgery.  Shawn Marion is out with a knee sprain.  Rodrigue Beaubois is out with a sprained ankle, and Elton Brand is out for the birth of his child.

The Mavericks out-rebounded the Raptors 47-38, led by Bernard James with 9.  All 10 Mavericks grabbed at least 2 rebounds.

Dallas starts a road trip in New York on Friday.
