Mavs win 5th straight

The Dallas Mavericks won 102-92 over the Washington Wizards on Monday night.  With the victory, Dallas swept a four-game homestand for the first time since 3/8/08-3/14/08 and recorded its fifth consecutive win at American Airlines Center. The Mavericks have now won six of their last seven games.

Mavericks center Tyson Chandler recorded his 10th double-double in the first half against the Wizards on Monday. He tallied 13 points and 10 boards before intermission, and finished with 18 points (5-10 FGs, 8-14 FTs) and a season-high-tying 18 rebounds in the game. It marked the fourth time this season he’s grabbed 18 rebounds.

Dirk Nowitzki scored 24 points to lead all scorers.

Mavericks point guard Jason Kidd recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 11 points and a game-high 11 assists.

The Mavericks came into the game shooting 90.1 percent (100-of-111) from the line in their last four games, but went just 25-of-37 (.676) from the stripe on Monday. Washington shot an even worse clip, finishing 19-of-31 (.613).

Dallas is now 22-1 when scoring at least 100 points.

The Mavericks play again Wednesday at New York.
