Nowitzki named Western Conference Player of the Week

Dallas Mavericks superstar Dirk Nowitzki was named Western Conference Player of the Week for the 4th time this season.  For games played April 5-11, Nowitzki led the Mavericks to 3 wins and no losses as they clinched the Southwest Division title. 

Nowitzki averaged 33.7 points and 8.7 rebounds.  He scored 40 points and 10 rebounds on Friday night, followed by 39 points and 7 rebounds on Saturday.  During the week he made 33 straight free throws, to extend his team record to 68.
