Plano Beats Irving MacArthur
In a game that was close for 3 quarters, Plano High School scored 3 touchdowns in the final quarter to defeat the Irving MacArthur Cardinals at Irving Schools Stadium.
Plano running back Kevin Merrill dominated the game by leading all rushers with 166 yards on 17 attempts and all receivers with 105 yards on 4 catches. Merrill also kicked 5 extra points.
Quarterback Richard Lagow passed for 244 yards, making 16 of 28 completions. Sam Morell scored one TD rushing and one receiving. Hunter Gore also added a touchdown receiving for Plano.
Irving was led by quarterback Justin Chavez, who threw for 110 yards and running back Jourdan McNeill who rushed for 111. Chavez’ primary receiver was Cyvantae Hubbard, who had 5 catches for 80 yards.
