Revenge Is Sweet For Wild In Austin

The Texas Wild put on a dominating performance Friday night in Austin, defeating the Aces 23-12.  After losing in a Super Tiebreak to the Aces on Thursday, the Wild were determined to right the ship.  Alex Bogomolov opened the match with a 5-3 upset over Andy Roddick.  

Austin came back to win the men’s doubles to tie the match before the mixed doubles team of Aisam Qureshi and Anabel Medina Garrigues put the Wild back on top with a 5-1 win over Marion Bartoli and Treat Huey.

Garrigues and women’s double partner Darija Jurak defeated Bartoli and Vera Zvonerave 5-2 before Garrigues sealed the win with a 5-1 victory over Zvonerava.

The Wild return home to host Springfield Saturday night at the Four Seasons Resort and Club in Las Colinas.  Tickets are still available at www.texaswildtennis.com
