Sharapova Fires Back at Serena

Maria Sharapova made critical comments about Serena Williams during her pre-Wimbledon press conference in London on Saturday.

Sharapova was asked about a recent Rolling Stone magazine article in which Williams criticized an unnamed player presumed to be Sharapova.

“If she wants to talk about something personal, maybe she should talk about her relationship and her boyfriend that was married and is getting a divorce and has kids,” Sharapova said of Williams.

One of the comments that may have irked Sharapova?

“If she wants to be with the guy with a black heart, go for it,” Williams said in the article that was published online early this week.

Williams has beaten Sharapova 13 straight times, including the French Open final earlier this month.
