SMU Tennis Blanks Temple

DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU Mustangs cruised to a 7-0 win over Temple on Wednesday evening, sweeping all six singles matches and all three doubles matches on their way to their eighth win of the spring and first victory in conference.

The Mustangs quickly took the doubles point, with Nate Lammons and Samm Butler winning 6-3 on court one and Markus Kerner and Ronald Slobodchikov winning 6-4 on court three. Hunter and Yates Johnson finished off the sweep for the Mustangs in doubles play winning 7-5.

SMU won five singles matches in straight sets, with only Kerner on court four going to a third frame. After winning the first set and dropping the second set, Kerner claimed

the third set 1-0 (10-1).
