Ben Griffin Wins World Wide Technology Championship

Ben Griffin secured a commanding victory at the World Wide Technology Championship held at El Cardonal at Diamante in Los Cabos, Mexico, marking his third PGA Tour win of the 2025 season.

Griffin, the winner at the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth this past May, shot an impressive final-round 9-under 63, which matched the lowest round of the day, finishing the tournament at a record-setting 29-under 259.

“I feel like I’m getting more and more comfortable kind of down the stretch,” Griffin said. “Had been in the mix a couple times since my last win and so yeah, going into the round I felt great about my game, felt confident going into the day.”

This performance established a new tournament-low scoring record and earned him a two-shot win over Chad Ramey and Sami Valimaki.

After trailing by two strokes entering the final round, Griffin quickly made his mark by going 3-under in the first four holes on Sunday.

His aggressive playstyle, a hallmark of his 2025 campaign, was on full display as he fired off birdies on over half of the holes throughout the round, including a remarkable five consecutive birdies starting at the 8th hole.

Key moments included long putts of 40 feet on the 11th, and 25 feet on both the 12th and 16th holes, which gave Griffin the momentum to seize and maintain the lead.

The course, designed by Tiger Woods, featured challenging conditions, but Griffin’s consistent putting and mental toughness proved decisive.

His win at El Cardonal also places him in esteemed company alongside PGA Tour stars Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy as the only players with three or more victories in 2025.

“It’s been a breakthrough year, and I knew, you know, selfishly I kind of had a feeling after getting the first win, I felt like I was going to win at least another soon after, and sure enough I did,” Griffin said.
