Shin finished at 14-under 270 at Los Colinas Country Club for a two-shot win over two other South Koreans, Amy Yang and Mi Jung Hur, as well as third-round leader Gerina Piller of Plano, Texas.

Yang and Hu each closed with a 71, while Piller stumbled with a 73. All three came in at 272 overall.

Shin, a 23-year-old who lives in Buena Park, Calif., earned $195,000 for the victory in her 135th career start on tour. She will jump from No. 38 to No. 24 in the world rankings and from No. 19 to No. 9 on the LPGA season’s money list.

“I think it will hit me when everything is over and when I get on a plane and home to my mom,” she said of finally earning a win.

The closest Shin came to a victory previously was a playoff loss to Angela Stanford in the 2012 HSBC Women’s Champions.

Shin joins South Korea’s Ha Na Jang and Japan’s Haru Nomura as

first-time winners on tour this year.

China’s Shanshan Feng shot 68 on Sunday to take fifth place at 274.

Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn carded a final-round 72 to finish at 276, good for sixth place.

Three South Koreans — Na Yeon Choi (68 on Sunday), Eun-Hee Ji (73) and Sei Young Kim (74) — shared seventh place at 277.

France’s Karine Icher, Cristie Kerr and South Korea’s Mirim Lee tied for 10th place at 278 after each closed with a 70. Lee made a 157-yard hole-in-one at No. 4.

Shin began her bogey-free 67 with three birdies in the first five holes to begin making up the four-shot deficit she faced at the start of play. Piller opened her round with the first of her five bogeys as she faded from contention.

The only other player to match Shin’s 67 on Sunday was reigning U.S. Women’s Open champion In Gee Chun of South Korea. Chun wound up at 279, tied for 13th.
